The NRV is the Dutch Alpine Garden Society. The society members are Dutch alpine garden enthousiasts. Founded in 1985 the society has celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2010. The highlight of this celebration was the publication of a jubileebook. The society currently has approximately 700 members, among whom many experts and professionals.
The NRV organizes a spring plant sale and an autumn plant sale every year. The spring plant sale normally is a weekend event. The society further organises shows, lectures and many other activities for its members.
What is the NRV?
The society publishes a quaterly magazine "Folium Alpinum" (in Dutch). Members also receive an extra newsletter containing, among other things, the membership adress list and a seedlist at the end of the year. From this seedlist members can order 20 packages of, sometimes unique, seed free of charge. Recently an online forum (together with the VRV, the Flemish Alpine Garden Society) was started where members can discuss various topics related to alpines.
